Many people take in notions and perceptions of essential elements and accommodate them as truth. The cognitive system of human beings relies on knowledge and expectations to appreciate objects within the natural environment. Photography is a visual representation of the environment one resides. The primary objective of this paper is to determine the correlation of human perception and the photographic arbitration of the truth. The cognitive system comes in to play, especially when differentiating fact from fiction. Oneà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s cognitive understanding not only depends on their visual capacity but also exposure and interaction with their surroundings. Photographic mediation denotes the alterations done to the natural environment, through photography. Too much graphic intervention could limit oneà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s cognitive analysis. The new technology resembles artwork, photography, or even television effect, which transform human perceptions into passive ideologies. For instance, when taking pictures, the camera allows the user to capture even the minute details and enables one to view them closer by zooming. Images facilitate the visualization of almost anything captured by cameras. In most instances, what is not visible to the naked eye becomes observable through the lens camera. So, it is evident that the advancement of photography mostly impacts the human perception about life. Unlike documented data that requires the reader to construct virtual images, photos offer people a one-on-one visual representation of reality, in a much clearer manner. However, it is important to note that photographs involve lots of alterations that aim at presenting the best look, something that does not relate to the objects of reality. Photographers aim at eliminating all the faults of a captured image, a process that alters the natural existence of the environment. Therefore, it would be incorrect to use photographs as the basis for human perceptions. Images are usually perfect while the natural environment is full of imperfections, the unique factors that make the world attractive.
